Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. If you contact us, the message itself is the information we receive and use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create routine logs such as an IP address, browser information, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate signals to operate and improve the reference. Cookies or related tools can support basic analytics and, if present, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information is used to run the reference, resolve technical issues, understand general traffic, and improve content. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the server logs needed to operate the reference. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Where applicable, visitors may have rights to seek access, correction, or deletion of personal data a website holds. New Jersey's Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023, c. 266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., establishes consumer-data rights for covered commercial controllers, subject to its statutory terms and exemptions. Because this reference retains very little, a request normally involves our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact Us page. A New Jersey, Bergen County, or Hackensack public record remains under its custodian's correction or confidentiality process.
Policy Changes
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
